Creative Link is excited about “Ideas Worth Spreading!” and is donating time and talent to bring this year’s TEDx San Antonio event to life. Brooke Miceli, Account Executive at Creative Link has been spearheading the effort, saying, “TEDx is a very exciting opportunity for Creative Link. As a company full of forward-thinkers, we’d be hard-pressed to find another event in San Antonio that aligns so well with our organizational spirit.” TEDx, for those who aren’t aware, is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
The Creative Department was tasked with developing the theme and look for 2011. After several brainstorming sessions, the concepts were presented to the TEDx volunteer committee, and subsequently were narrowed to this year’s selected theme, “It’s time for _______.”
It’s purposely designed around an unfinished statement to allow multiple perspectives, engaging individuals to express their opinion of what we (as a community, a country and world) need most.
Creative Director, Heather Rosenquist explained that “This theme is intentionally nebulous. We really wanted both the speakers and the attendees to be able to bring their priorities to light, thereby making their TEDx experience very personal and meaningful.”
As the TEDx committee is currently confirming speakers, this year is becoming more exciting by the moment. In order to attend, you must be selected as an attendee. Everyone at Creative Link would like to encourage you to apply. For more details, visit www.tedxsanantonio.com
